- Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, but may require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and carrying objects such as files/binders and lifting moderately heavy equipment or other items weighing less than 20 pounds such as Tandberg video equipment or VA informational brochures. The position requires travel (primarily within the facility geographic area) involving day trips, with occasional overnight trips. TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-9 GRADE LEVEL, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-8) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes supervising administrative support staff by assigning work and evaluating performance; managing personnel functions such as recruitment, leave administration, and/or disciplinary actions; applying policies or procedures to resolve administrative actions; and using automated systems to manage, track, or report program data.

Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
