Join Our Team at Signarama Elizabethtown!
Hi! We’re glad you’re interested in joining our team at Signarama Elizabethtown!
We’re a locally owned sign company specializing in custom signs, graphics, vehicle graphics, banners, dimensional lettering, and more. We do quality, creative work for businesses, organizations, schools, churches, manufacturers, and customers throughout Hardin County and beyond.
Take a look at some of our local projects to get a feel for the work we do on our Facebook page: Signarama Elizabethtown
We take pride in our craft and have an energetic team that works hard, helps each other out, and has fun along the way.
About the Position
We’re looking for a Part-Time Graphic Designer & Office Assistant to join our team.
This position is designed to support our full-time Graphic Designer and our full-time Customer Account Specialist.
Your primary focus will be graphic design, social media, customer service, and general office assistance. You’ll help keep projects moving, customers taken care of, and the office organized.
Because we’re a small team, you’ll also have opportunities to learn different areas of the sign business and occasionally assist with light production tasks when needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys creative work, working with people, and being part of a small business.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. You’ll have the support of our full-time team members, and training will be provided.
Schedule
We’re looking for approximately 10-20 hours per week, and we’re very flexible about how those hours are scheduled.
We’re happy to work around class schedules, another job, or other commitments.
Some possibilities include:
- A few half-days per week
- Two or three full days per week
- Consistent morning or afternoon shifts
- A combination that works best for both you and our team
Our office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. We’re closed on weekends and major holidays.

Graphic Design & Creative Work
- Design signs, banners, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, promotional materials, and other custom projects
- Prepare production-ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator
- Make revisions and updates based on customer feedback
- Organize and maintain customer artwork files
- Assist with creating graphics and content for our social media

Customer Service & Office Assistance
- Answer phones and greet customers
- Assist customers at the front counter
- Help gather project information from customers

- Communicate with customers regarding artwork and project details
- Help keep customer files and office information organized
- Assist with scheduling and general office tasks
- Help maintain an organized and professional showroom and office
Shop & Production Support
Everyone on our team is cross-trained, so you’ll have the opportunity to learn some of the hands-on side of the business.
You may occasionally:
- Weed and mask vinyl graphics
- Apply graphics to signs and other substrates
- Help assemble finished signs
- Assist with basic production tasks
- Help keep the shop organized and clean
- Make occasional local deliveries in company vehicles
You will not be expected to be an expert in sign production. Training will be provided.

We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative and detail-oriented
- Organized and dependable
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
- A good communicator
- Comfortable working independently when needed
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Willing to learn new software and skills
- A positive, team-oriented person
Skills & Experience
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or a similar design program is required
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is preferred
- Graphic design experience is preferred but not required
- Social media experience is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace is a plus
- Strong spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Sign industry experience is a plus, but we will train the right person
Physical Requirements
Because we’re a sign shop rather than a traditional office, there will occasionally be some hands-on work.
You should be comfortable:
- Standing and moving around the shop for portions of the day
- Helping with light production tasks
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Using a tape measure and basic hand tools
- Working in both an office and shop environment
