Full Job Description

Senior Title Examiner

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual for the added position of Senior Title Examiner for Hometown Title, a fast-growing, innovative-thinking company. In this role, the valuable team member will assist the following duties:

Assist Searchers as needed relative to real estate records including but not limited to land and tax records, county mapping and judgments
Summarize basic legal documents
Communicate title issues
Assist with analyzing chain of title
Assist with the verification of legal descriptions
Acquires maps or drawings from surveyor/assessor’s offices or title companies.
Researches and investigates to identify any restrictions limiting the use of the property.
Collaborates with realtors, mortgage lenders, insurers, contractors, and public officials to clarify or confirm findings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Ability to use findings to prepare well-written, accurate reports.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SoftPro a plus

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Sound knowledge of terminology and other technical aspects relating to property titles
Indiana Title Insurance License, notary a plus.

Salary:

Range of $44,000-$75,000 based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
