The Department of Law, Criminal Division is recruiting for a Law Office Manager in Fairbanks!
This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify.
What You Will Be Doing:
The Fairbanks Law Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of both the Fairbanks and Utqiagvik District Attorney's Offices. This role includes providing leadership and direction to administrative support staff, executing administrative duties such as managing financial documents, handling human resource tasks, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining office equipment, and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure efficient task completion.

Training and/or education as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in criminal justice, administrative office technology, business and marketing management, entrepreneurship, office assistance, or similar fields, and/or progressively responsible experience preparing and processing legal documents and correspondence in a legal office or law enforcement environment or performing a variety of administrative support functions for an office.
Special Note:
Many positions require incumbents to be able to obtain and maintain a limited government Notary and to be able to pass a criminal background check to meet security requirements for using criminal record networks such as APSIN and NCIC/NLETS. If either of these requirements are present, they will be stated in the vacancy announcement.

BACKGROUND CHECK
The Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) is utilized in this position. A background check and fingerprinting will be required.
The incumbent will be required to obtain APSIN access, which will be done through the office.
EDUCATION
If post-secondary education is required to meet the minimum qualifications, you must fill in the Education section of the application. Copies of transcripts are required to verify educational credentials and must be attached to your application upon submission.
