Full Job Description

JD LEGAL PLANNING PLLC SEEKS LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO WORK WITH OTHER EXPERIENCED PARALEGALS AND ATTORNEY.

Job Summary:

To serve as a Drafting Paralegal assisting attorneys in the preparation of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts and deeds.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
36 hour work week – closed all Friday afternoons.

JD Legal Planning PLLC is a strong growing law firm representing clients throughout North Dakota and Minnesota with currently one attorney, five paralegals and two administrative staff members, all of whom focus solely on representing estate planning and elder law clients, including those with special needs. JD Legal Planning PLLC is recognized as one of the “Best Of” law firms by the Forum, has the only Certified Elder Law Attorney in North Dakota and Northern Minnesota, and the principal of the law firm has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for nine consecutive years.

Primary Duties:

Works closely with attorney to prepare accurate estate planning documents for the review and signature of clients.
Communicates with clients most commonly via email and phone to gather necessary information.
Completes each project on a set schedule according to law firm policy.
Electronic filing of court documents and deeds.
Substantial use of Word and Microsoft Office 365.

Job Requirements:

Strong computer skills.
Typing exam may be required.
Microsoft Office 365: 2 years.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
