Responsibilities
- Safely operate various passenger vehicles including passenger vans, Wheelchair accessible vans-style cars to transport clients efficiently and comfortably.
- Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies to ensure safe journeys at all times.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and personal needs while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled destinations across local routes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain vehicle safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent customer service, address questions or concerns, and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and client interactions in compliance with company policies and regulations.Qualifications
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver is highly desirable; experience with personal vehicle delivery or medical transportation is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., chauffeur license or commercial driver’s license preferred).
- Proven ability to operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or limousines safely under various conditions.
- Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize trip efficiency.
- Familiarity with state transportation regulations and safety standards related to passenger vehicle operation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required.
- Strong customer service orientation with a compassionate attitude toward clients needing medical transportation assistance.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
