Sales Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, professional, and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in supporting both inside and outside sales activities, managing customer relationships, and serving as a key point of contact throughout the sales and project execution process. While developing new business opportunities is important, a primary responsibility of this role will be maintaining, strengthening, and growing relationships within our existing customer base. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide technical guidance, identify opportunities for additional equipment and services, and ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
This position requires a self-starter who is eager to learn, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
This is a full-time position requiring approximately 60-80% travel throughout assigned territories and customer locations.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships and identify upcoming project opportunities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customer operations, business objectives, and equipment requirements to provide proactive support and recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing responsive technical assistance and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, equipment upgrades, replacement projects, and expansion of services within existing accounts.
- Conduct routine customer visits to reinforce relationships, gather market intelligence, and ensure continued customer satisfaction.
- Support long-term account growth through consistent communication, responsiveness, and problem resolution.
- Conduct both inside and outside sales activities, including customer visits, facility tours, industry events, and trade shows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications regarding commercial, technical, operational, and scheduling matters.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, operations, and management teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and product recommendations.
- Review customer specifications and project requirements to ensure accurate quotations and successful project execution.
- Coordinate project updates and communications between customers and internal departments.
- Support project scheduling discussions and assist in managing customer expectations throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
- Travel extensively to customer locations, industry meetings, and project sites as required.
- Continuously develop product knowledge and industry expertise to effectively support customers and promote company offerings.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Industrial, or related discipline preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of engineering, technical sales, or related industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel 60-80% of the time.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout customer territories.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for representing the company with customers and industry partners.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software applications.
Preferred
- Experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas operations.
- Experience with production equipment, pressure vessels, storage tanks, process equipment, or related industrial products.
- Prior customer-facing experience in engineering, project management, operations, or sales.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment fabrication.
