FlexTrades is seeking an experienced Jig Bore Machinist to set up and operate a manual jig bore machine in a precision rework environment, working independently from prints and GD&T.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a manual vertical jig bore equipped with a DRO and rotary table
- Perform precision boring rework operations on aluminum billet components
- Independently determine fixturing and setup methods by working directly from prints
- Accurately locate and rework select features on parts with many existing dimensions
- Perform unique setups for each part; work is non-repetitive
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Perform in-process inspections and support final quality verification
- Work in a rework area, correcting dimensional issues from previous manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating manual vertical jig bore machines
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T (required)
- Ability to work from prints only with minimal instruction
- Proven ability to plan setups and solve machining challenges independently
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances in a rework environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace machining or rework experience
- Experience with Pratt & Whitney jig bore machines
- Rotary table setup and precision location experience
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $46.54/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
- Access to a full suite of benefits
- Travel Pay to and from the project
- Paid lodging (Single-Occupancy Hotel Room)
- Per diem ($45/day)
