Job Summary
Hinds LifeCare is hiring a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to provide executive leadership for the strategy, quality, operational performance, and clinical excellence of all care delivery programs across the organization.
The CCO is responsible for leading clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, education, and clinical outcomes across hospice, palliative care, pediatric services, bereavement, grief support, and future care delivery programs. This role ensures clinical services align with Hinds LifeCare’s mission, strategic priorities, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
Clinical Programs Overseen
The Chief Clinical Officer provides executive oversight for all clinical programs and supportive care service lines, including:
· Outpatient Hospice Services
· Inpatient Hospice Services
· Pediatric Hospice Services
· Palliative Care Services
· Future Serious Illness Care Programs
· Center for Grief & Healing
· Bereavement Services
· Community Bereavement Programs
· Clinical Education and Staff Development
· Clinical Program Development
· Future Care Delivery Models
Key Responsibilities
· Provide executive leadership for all clinical operations, care delivery models, and service line performance
· Lead organizational strategy for clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical outcomes
· Oversee quality improvement initiatives, including CMS quality measures, accreditation readiness, patient experience, and clinical performance improvement
· Serve as executive sponsor for quality, safety, and organizational performance initiatives
· Oversee Quality and Education functions to ensure competency validation, regulatory training, professional development, and organizational learning
· Develop and maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement, compliance, patient safety, and operational excellence
· Lead strategic planning and implementation for hospice, palliative care, pediatric services, bereavement, grief support, and future clinical programs
· Partner with executive and operational leaders to improve interdisciplinary care delivery, patient experience, and program effectiveness
· Provide executive oversight and leadership to clinical and supportive care service leaders across multiple departments
· Support innovation, scalability, and future program development aligned with community and organizational needs

Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
· Master’s degree preferred
· Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience
· Experience leading clinical operations, quality, program development, and interdisciplinary teams
· Demonstrated ability to apply organizational and management principles effectively and establish clear goals and objectives
· Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate, coordinate, and maintain accountability for the work of others
· Ability to work independently while leading complex, mission-critical functions
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to use a personal vehicle in the course of employment
· Proof of automobile insurance, current registration, and acceptable driving record with no more than 3 points within a 36-month period
· Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including pushing, pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 15 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
· Hospice and palliative care leadership experience strongly preferred
· Experience leading quality, compliance, education, and clinical transformation initiatives
· Experience in nonprofit healthcare, serious illness care, or interdisciplinary care delivery models
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $200,000 - $215,000 annually
