Full Job Description

The Lead Teacher is responsible and accountable for the daily operations and operational performance of children in their classroom. Reports to Program Director. Little Kingdom Warriors Academy's mission is to provide childcare that meets the needs of each child and family. We provide a safe and educational environment. We sing and dance for Jesus and provide reliable, quality, and safe care for our children. We teach them the values of who God made them to be, which is Kingdom Warriors.”

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which LKW is recognized.

LOCATIONS: We are looking for child care workers to grow with us in our Holland and Zeeland locations. This is a great opportunity to gain skills and knowledge.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible and accountable for the daily operations and activities. Which includes and ensuring/monitoring the performance of your team.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, state, and Federal regulations.
Coordinates, designs, and management information systems.
Develops and implements systems to maintain records on employees, equipment inventories, and compliance activities.
Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the unit.
Participates in development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in the accomplishment of established goals.
Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Establishes a professional working relationship with onsite client representatives

To create a childcare setting for social, cognitive, and physical development.
To provide a learning experience for our children.

OTHER DUTIES:

Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows safety policy.
May lead or participate in an interdepartmental project.
May lead or participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.
Supports marketing and sales objectives and efforts as requested.
Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
Encourages co-workers to work safely.
Identifies safety concerns to supervisory personnel. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's, Associate, or CDA degree in early childhood care program, residential youth program, or similar program for children and administration.
Teaching certificate ZA/ZS.
Bachelor's ECE/Child development.
Ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English/Capacidad para comunicarse con fluidez en español y en ingles.
Clean criminal background check.
Clean child abuse and neglect or child protective services check.
Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office products required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Visual acuity required to complete paperwork, computer work, and a direct line of sight supervision of staff.
Able to communicate verbally and listen for constant surveillance of staff activities.
Able to continue to seek God and make sure you have leadership skills.
Able to receive and understand detailed information through oral communication.
