Overview
A Better Life Homecare LLC is a Medicare-accredited, CHAP-certified home health agency dedicated to improving care—one patient at a time. We provide high-quality medical and non-medical services to eligible recipients throughout Massachusetts, including Adult Foster Care (AFC) and Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) programs.
The Community Outreach and Marketing Specialist plays a key role in driving organizational growth and strengthening the agency’s brand presence. This position oversees outreach strategy, business development, partnership cultivation, and marketing initiatives across the state. The role collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams and reports directly to the Executive Director and/or CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Outreach
- Execute outreach strategies to attract new clients, referral sources, and community partners.
- Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, senior living facilities, rehabilitation centers, social workers, and insurance providers.
- Represent the agency at health fairs, conferences, and community events to increase visibility.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to develop promotional materials and digital campaigns.
- Gather market feedback and assist in evaluating outreach effectiveness.
Partnership Building & Community Relations
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with healthcare professionals, case managers, and discharge planners.
- Engage with community organizations, advocacy groups, senior centers, and local agencies to expand service reach.
- Serve as a point of contact for external partners and stakeholders.
- Assist with organizing community-facing events such as Lunch & Learns and seasonal outreach activities.
Referral Generation & Client Acquisition
- Conduct outreach activities including cold calls, site visits, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified referrals aligned with agency goals.
- Track referral data and conversion metrics.
- Provide education to referral sources on agency programs and services.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Support marketing and digital media teams with targeted campaigns (print, social, and online).
- Ensure brand consistency across outreach communications.
- Deliver community presentations highlighting agency services.
- Assist in creating testimonials, case studies, and promotional content.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the homecare sector.
- Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities.
- Stay informed on healthcare regulations and referral dynamics that impact outreach efforts.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral data, and partnership engagements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare summary reports for the CEO.
- Provide insights to support continuous improvement in outreach outcomes.
Outreach Budget Support
- Assist the CEO with outreach and marketing budget planning.
- Provide recommendations on cost-effective marketing channels, events, and promotional activities.
- Monitor spending for assigned outreach activities and report ROI findings.
Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of agency objectives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in outreach, business development, or marketing—preferably within healthcare or homecare.
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Strong knowledge of homecare services, healthcare systems, and referral processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to execute marketing and outreach campaigns effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, outreach tools, and Google Workspace.
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed.
