The role of the Sewing Utility Worker will operate and tend sewing machines to perform sewing operations. This includes joining and reinforcing of materials. Sewing machine operators handle work on a large scale as they are required to operate and tend to industrial machineries. Must meet hourly production goals and adhere to established safety and efficiency standards.
Essential Functions:

Set and adjust machine controls and test for proper functionality before completing sewing projects.

Follow order guidelines to complete sewing projects.

Sew missing stiches/replacement parts according to repair instructions.

Ensure finished product meets design, merchandising and quality standards.

Reload machines with products.
-
Sort, fold and stack materials.
-
Meet production standards for completion of all assignments.

Address any problems to ensure quality control including preventative maintenance per instructions and guidelines; reports defective materials and equipment.

Utilize personal protective equipment and continuously adheres to safety guidelines.

Participate in cross training opportunities to maximize operation effectiveness.
