Full Job Description

Growing Med-Spa in Downtown Hickory seeking a Licensed Medspa Esthetician with minimum 1 year experience performing customized facials, HydraFacials, body sculpting, waxing and laser therapy. Must be comfortable with social media marketing and product/service recommendations. In office training provided. Part-time with potential for full-time opportunities based on client growth. Flexible schedule during hours of operation 8-6 Mon-Thurs and 8-3 on Friday. Monthly Bonus structure and service discounts available after 90 days. Overall Role: To deliver safe, effective, and customized aesthetic treatments that help clients achieve their skincare and aesthetic goals, while supporting the clinic’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.

Estheticians should be highly knowledgeable about each service they offer and take initiative to educate clients, identify skin concerns, and recommend services and products that will provide the best outcomes.

It is the Medspa Esthetician’s responsibility to ensure that each client is well-educated on their treatment plan, including:

The purpose and mechanism of each treatment tailored to each treatment (e.g., Moxi, BBL, PRP, RF microneedling, Skinpen, DeRive, Stem Cell therapy etc)
Post-care instructions and expected timelines for results
Skin health fundamentals including barrier support, inflammation, pigmentation, and aging and advanced root cause/functional aesthetics
Provide written and verbal skincare routines, including the correct use of medical-grade products
Integration of red light therapy, supplements, or functional wellness when relevant
Confidently educate clients using layman’s terms
Play a critical role in helping clients stay consistent with treatment schedules and skincare regimens and aftercare to maximize results.

Responsibilities include:

Creating individualized treatment plans (short and long-term)
Following up with clients post-treatment (text/email/call)
Documenting changes and photos at intervals
Adjusting plans based on skin response or client needs
Encouraging bundling or stacking treatments for best outcomes
Building long-term relationships with clients for maintenance
Skincare retail promotion

As a licensed provider of premium services, the esthetician should confidently educate clients about advanced treatments and recommend upgrades, memberships, and skincare for optimal results.

Maintains active licensure and continuing education
Maintains treatment room cleanliness and infection control
Documents all client interactions accurately in EHR
Attends team meetings and participates in promotional events
Tracks treatment outcomes with before/after photos
Supports front desk/office with treatment knowledge and client consults when needed

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
