Position Summary
This is an onsite position located at Sea Pines Resort. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Sea Pines Resort is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Field Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support and maintenance for technology systems across our resort operations. This hands-on position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of technology used throughout our hotels, restaurants, golf courses, retail locations, conference facilities, recreational amenities, and administrative offices.
The IT Field Support Specialist serves as a mobile technology resource for the resort, operating a company-provided service vehicle equipped with tools, spare parts, and support equipment. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while responding to technology issues that impact daily operations and guest experiences.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic environment, can think independently, and is comfortable supporting a wide variety of technologies ranging from desktop computers and Point-of-Sale systems to network infrastructure, security cameras, audiovisual equipment, and conference room technologies.
Key Responsibilities
End User & Operational Support
- Provide onsite technical support to employees across multiple resort locations.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, and peripheral devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, email, mobile devices, and business software applications.
- Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents through the IT ticketing system.
- Deliver professional, responsive customer service while maintaining a high sense of urgency.
Resort Technology Support
- Support Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related equipment used in restaurants, retail outlets, golf operations, and hospitality venues.
- Install and troubleshoot televisions, digital signage, audio systems, and guest-facing technology.
- Diagnosing and resolve technology issues that impact resort operations, employee productivity, and guest services.
- Assist with technology upgrades, equipment replacements, and new system deployments.
Conference Room & Event Technology
- Support conference room technology including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and presentation equipment.
- Assist with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other collaboration technologies.
- Ensure meeting and event spaces are operational and ready prior to scheduled meetings and special events.
- Provide onsite technical support for conferences, executive meetings, presentations, and resort events.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Troubleshoot and maintain network switches, wireless access points, and related infrastructure.
- Support resort-wide wired and wireless connectivity.
- Install, terminate, test, label, and document Ethernet cabling.
- Assist with maintaining network closets and communications rooms throughout the resort.
- Support security camera systems and associated infrastructure.
Data Center & Systems Support
- Assist the Systems Administration team with maintaining two enterprise data centers.
- Support server, storage, UPS, and network infrastructure installations.
- Perform equipment moves, adds, and changes.
- Maintain accurate asset and infrastructure documentation.
Field Service Operations
- Operate a company-provided service vehicle to travel between resort locations.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and support equipment.
- Prioritize and respond quickly to critical technology issues.
- Participate in technology projects, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and emergency support as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, field services, or computer/network support.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with computer hardware and software.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, switches, wireless networks, and structured cabling.
- Experience installing and terminating Ethernet cabling.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hospitality, resort, hotel, restaurant, golf, or retail technology environments.
- Experience supporting POS systems and payment devices.
- Experience with conference room and audiovisual technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and endpoint management solutions.
- Experience supporting security camera systems and enterprise wireless networks.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent.

- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
