Job Summary

Radiology Associates – Inverness Imaging is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our fast-paced outpatient imaging center. In this role, you will perform high-quality radiologic exams while supporting patients throughout their imaging experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and families professionally, provide instructions, and answer questions regarding procedures.
Schedule patients and assist with front-desk or clerical duties as needed.
Operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs of specified anatomical areas.
Adjust equipment settings based on the procedure and maintain radiation safety standards.
Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, bone density (DEXA) exams, and contrast media preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and imaging rooms; promptly report malfunctions.
Evaluate images for quality and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS systems.
Adhere to all imaging safety guidelines and protocols.
Participate in the training and orientation of new staff or student technologists.
Provide compassionate patient care and assist with positioning or lifting as needed (up to 50 lbs).
Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Associate’s Degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
Florida State Radiologic Technologist License.
ARRT (R) certification in Radiology.
BLS certification.
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
Proficiency in X-ray, fluoroscopy, and bone density (DEXA) exams.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and radiologic equipment.
Excellent computer, communication, and documentation skills.
Professional, patient-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
