Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Head Butcher to lead our meat department. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of meat cutting, merchandising, food safety, inventory management, and customer service. This position is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring customers receive the freshest products and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

● Cut, trim, portion, and prepare beef, lamb, goat, chicken, and other meats to company standards.

● Maintain attractive and well-stocked meat displays.

● Manage inventory, ordering, and minimize product waste.

● Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

● Supervise, train, and schedule meat department employees.

● Provide excellent customer service and assist with custom meat cuts and special orders.

● Monitor product quality, freshness, and pricing.

● Coordinate with management on promotions and department performance.

● Keep work areas, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

● 5+ years of professional butcher experience.

● Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

● Strong knowledge of meat fabrication and merchandising.

● Experience working with halal meat is highly preferred.

● Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.

● Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

● Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
