Full Job Description

Overview
Cocody Restaurant & Bar is seeking an experienced and dynamic Beverage Manager to lead our beverage operations and enhance guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for hospitality excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee both casual and fine dining environments, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of service and safety are maintained across all beverage offerings. The Beverage Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining inventory control, implementing training programs, and supporting overall restaurant management to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the beverage and bar operations, including but not limited to:

Beverage Program Development & Management

Oversee all liquor, wine, cocktails, beer, N/A beverage selections, costing, and menu engineering
Maintain and elevate Cocody’s beverage identity, ensuring consistency, creativity, and profitability
Create seasonal cocktail menus, wine lists, and beverage features

Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control

Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory of all beverages
Ensure accurate cost controls, vendor relationships, and invoice processing
Maintain proper stock levels, cellar organization, and par systems
Monitor and improve beverage cost percentages

Staffing & Team Leadership

Recruit, hire, train, and mentor bar staff and bartenders
Create weekly schedules for bar staff, ensuring appropriate coverage and labor efficiency
Conduct ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when necessary
Uphold high standards of hospitality, service, and guest engagement

Service & Operational Excellence

Oversee daily bar operations and ensure seamless service execution
Support front-of-house and bar teams during high-volume services
Ensure compliance with TABC, safety, and sanitation standards
Lead by example during service and maintain a strong presence on the floor

Management Team Collaboration

Participate in management meetings and contribute to operational planning
Communicate clearly with the General Manager and ownership regarding performance, needs, and goals
Implement and monitor SOPs related to bar service, beverage handling, and guest experience

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
