Full Job Description

We are a CPA firm operating in West Virginia for over 50 years seeking a staff accountant to join our team in the Barboursville/Huntington area.

Our firm performs audit engagements, financial statement, write-up work, and tax preparation for a diverse and long-standing client base. This position provides hands-on experience across all areas of public accounting and an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

CPA is preferred, but not required. For the right candidate, we will support and encourage the process of obtaining a CPA license.

What you’ll do:

Assist with audit engagements
Perform Agreed Upon Procedures for specialty client engagements.
Prepare write-up work
Prepare individual tax returns
Work directly with clients
Gain broad experience in all areas of public accounting

What we’re looking for:

Accounting degree required
CPA preferred
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Other Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation for client site visits
Occasional overnight travel
