Full Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Legal Secretary to join our team! This role involves providing comprehensive clerical support to attorneys and paralegals within the law office. The ideal candidate will be reliable, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, learn quickly, be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, and have the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.

This is a part-time position with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule. Work hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is in office.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of information to assist in case management. You will obtain information from clients, insurance companies, medical providers, police departments, health insurance companies, etc. to ensure files are complete.
Draft letters and correspondence correctly and with clarity.
Provide administrative support by sorting mail, scanning and uploading documents into an electronic filing system, copying, faxing, emailing, reporting insurance claims, and completing records requests.
Answer incoming phone calls and make outgoing phone calls; take precise messages.
Greet and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
Electronically communicate with and coordinate work between in-office and remote employees.
Assist in ensuring documents are accurately executed by clients.
Quickly familiarize yourself with an electronic case management system and be comfortable operating within the system on a daily basis.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar position preferred but not required.
Must be familiar with the use of Microsoft Word.
Must possess strong spelling and grammar skills.
Must be proficient in operating an email account.
Must be familiar with and comfortable using various forms of technology on a daily basis.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
