Full Job Description

Lead Bartender – (Honky-Tonk | Live Music | High-Energy Nights)

Join us at The Honkytonk @ Oak + Iron, Downtown Jackson's newest destination for cold drinks, live country music, and unforgettable nights. This isn't your typical cocktail bar—it's a true honky-tonk. Think live bands, line dancing, packed weekends, and a crowd that's ready to have a great time.

We're looking for a Lead Bartender who can do more than make great drinks. You'll help set the pace behind the bar, lead by example during busy shifts, support and coach the bartending team, and help create an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, enjoy leading a team, and know how to keep the energy high when the dance floor is packed, we want to meet you.

What You'll Do

Lead the bar team during service, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences
Serve beer, whiskey, and cocktails quickly, accurately, and consistently in a high-volume environment
Train, mentor, and support bartenders while promoting teamwork and accountability
Help manage bar inventory, restocking, organization, and cleanliness throughout each shift
Maintain quality standards for drink preparation, presentation, and guest service
Check IDs and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies
Work closely with management, barbacks, servers, and security to keep operations running smoothly
Help resolve guest concerns professionally and maintain a fun, welcoming atmosphere

What We're Looking For

Previous bartending experience required, with leadership or lead bartender experience preferred
Experience in high-volume bars, live music venues, or dive bar environments
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy shifts
Excellent guest service skills and the ability to read the room and set the tone
Reliable, dependable, and willing to lead by example
Must be 21+ and available to work nights, weekends, and special events
