Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator
Job Purpose: As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality textile products by operating and maintaining sewing machines. Your precision, efficiency, and attention to detail will ensure that our products meet the required standards and exceed customer expectations.
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Onsite- Monticello Location

Classification: Non-exempt, Full Time, Operations
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to company policies and maintain a high standard of work ethics.

Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.

Report any machine malfunctions, maintenance needs, quality concerns, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Work closely with team members to achieve production targets and ensure a cohesive and harmonious work environment. Effective communication is essential for success.

Verify product is within quality specifications.

Retrieve necessary product needed for task.

Read and accurately interpret measurements using a tape measure.

Read and interpret work orders.

Performs other duties as required.

Apply Tags and Stickers to product

Assemble and Fill boxes with product

Flat Skin Sewing

Operate Accessory Sewing Machines (boxing, zipper, ties, loops)

Assist in training and mentoring Sewing Machine Operators

Operate Umbrella Sewing Machine & construct umbrellas
-
Operate Filter Sewing Machine
-
Materials Coordination of sewing accessories
-
Box skin sewing
-
Embroidery Operator
-
Ability to construct custom cushions/covers and customer samples

Other tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
-
No prior experience necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
-
Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator or in a similar sewing-related role.

Ability to read and interpret sewing patterns, technical drawings, and work instructions.
-
Strong understanding of different fabrics and their sewing requirements.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to produce precise and consistent stitching.

Working Conditions
Environment

This position works exclusively in a factory production floor environment with exposure to typical factory hazards such as loud noises, heat, and cold.
Essential physical requirements
-
This position requires physical dexterity and stamina to sit or stand for extended periods while operating the sewing machine.

Employees performing the tasks essential to this position will regularly be expected to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

This position may require employees to work overtime, weekends, and nights depending on production needs.
