Position Details

Lakeland Regional Health is a leading medical center located in Central Florida. With a legacy spanning over a century, we have been dedicated to serving our community with excellence in healthcare. As the only Provisional Level 1 Trauma center for Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties, and the second busiest Emergency Department in the US, we are committed to providing high-quality care to our diverse patient population. Our facility is licensed for 910 beds and handles over 200,000 emergency room visits annually, along with 49,000 inpatient admissions, 21,000 surgical cases, 4,000 births, and 101,000 outpatient visits.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing leadership to the IS department and for management of its human, material and financial resources. Serves as a member of the Information Management Leadership team. Plans, directs, and manages the overall operations of the Applications Team. Manager is also responsible for talent recruitment, growth and retention. In collaboration with other IS Managers, has the responsibility for twenty four hour oversight to ensure the quality and cost effective delivery of Information Services. Manager reports to the Director of Information Solutions.

Standard Work Duties: Manager - Clinical Applications Support

Works collaboratively within a leadership team to achieve division and organizational goals and objectives by managing human, material and financial resources.
Manages resources involved in all aspects of information systems analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation
Participates in strategic and tactical planning related to clinical applications and recommends solutions based on industry trends and understanding of the organization's workflows and needs.
Develops systems and metrics to monitor and improve departmental performance.
Coordinates the development and adherence to IT processes and security.

Certifications Essential: At least one certification related to IT management frameworks such as Six Sigma, ITIL, PMI, COBIT, CMMI and/or technical certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, etc.
Certifications Preferred: Healthcare related certifications such as CPHIMS
