Education, Training, and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field, supplemented by two (2) years of marketing, education and outreach, web management, or tourism development experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience with mobile apps and website management is preferred. Experience in tourism, destination marketing or outdoor recreation/marine industry is preferred. Public speaking experience is preferred. Licenses and/or Certifications: Requires a valid driver license.
Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to operate office equipment, to include computer, copy/fax machines, and any related peripherals. Must be able to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires full range of body motion, to include bending at the waist, using lower extremities and using back muscles. This position requires the ability to work for sustained periods of exposure to outside atmospheric conditions, as well as prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work.
Language Ability: Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, including the ability to convey, record and exchange information; requires the ability to explain procedures and to give, receive and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to read and interpret a variety of moderately complex technical data, policy and procedure manuals, codes, professional journals.
