Amica Mutual Insurance Company seeks an IT Developer in Lincoln, RI. Develops, and delivers software that meets established standards as well as expectations for performance, business impact, and user experience; Tracks and reports issues. Addresses patterns and root causes of shortfalls in technical quality and user acceptance; Understands and applies Agile, development best practices, and other approaches for iterative development of production-ready software; Fosters and demonstrates CIS Core Values to achieve service objectives and deliver value; Offers support to the business, IT projects, and day to day operations. This may include mentoring, providing effective guidance and/or feedback; Actively seeks out opportunities to learn and apply emerging trends such as best practices and standards; learns from failures or missteps and applies learnings in various contexts; and Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to automate development, provisioning, and release work to accelerate and improve the quality of solutions delivery. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Salary range is $84,641 to $116,384.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, and other closely related degrees and 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations. Must have 4 years of experience in the following skills: Experience breaking down and prioritizing multiple competing tasks; Experience identifying challenges and risks to the completion of work along with communication of those with possible solutions to the appropriate personnel; Experience completing non-routine work with minimal supervision, including conducting research and using appropriate problem-solving skills; Experience with object oriented programming concepts, preferably in Java; and Experience with Integrated Development Environment. Must have 3 years of experience working with and understanding APIs. Must also have 1 year of experience in the following skills: Experience with Source Control; Database Experience; SQL; and HTML.
In the alternative, the employer will accept 6 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations.
