Full Job Description

Our client, a provider of affordable housing for low income communities, is searching for a Receptionist / Desk Clerk on one of their apartment communities in Downtown Los Angeles. This role is 4 days per week, Monday and Tuesday from 7am-4pm and Thursday and Friday from 2pm - 11pm. This is a contract role slated for a month with the potential to extend / convert to fulltime. The pay rate is $20/HR. You must pass a criminal background check to qualify.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Keep accurate log of all visitors to the complex by recording the name of the visitor(s).
2. Convey accurate information to the appropriate authorities, as necessary.
3. Answer telephones and take accurate messages.
4. Conduct patrols of the entire complex according to a schedule outlined by the Property Manager and other appropriate supervisory staff.
5. Respond to emergency situations by calling the appropriate emergency service (e.g., police, fire department, ambulance, paramedics).
6. Enforce the appropriate building policies and house rules.
7. Ensure that doors and gates are closed and locked.
8. Keep the lobby areas clean and neat.
9. Inform the Property Manager of any unusual activity in a timely manner.
10. Enforce the No Loitering policy of the complex.
11. Attend staff meetings on request.
12. Perform other related duties that may be requested by the Property Manager.
13. Work outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property.

Supervisory Responsibilities

1. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications of Position

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
