JOB SUMMARY
The Reconciliation Specialist II is responsible for reconciling general ledger and internal DDA accounts, monitoring account variances, and notifying the appropriate parties to resolve outstanding items. They ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and within established timelines and provide backup support for department as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Reconcile assigned accounts as directed by the Accounting Projects Manager.
Maintain records in accordance with retention requirements.
Research, monitor, and report outstanding reconciliation items.
Notify the appropriate employee or department to resolve outstanding items.
Review reconciliations prepared by other team members.
Support reconciliation team members as needed.
Crosstrain staff as needed to ensure proper coverage in the department.
Prepare information and respond to auditor and examiner requests.
Assist the Accounting Projects Manager with projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
3 – 5 years of prior experience in accounting and finance preferably in the banking industry.
1 year of prior banking or similar financial services experience strongly preferred.
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced situations while sticking to and meeting deadlines.
Bilingual— English/Spanish preferred
