Position Summary
The Art Beat Collective is seeking an experienced, organized, and mission-driven Project
Manager to oversee the implementation and growth of its Digital Music & Media Production
After-School Program. This leadership position will manage program operations,
coordinate partnerships with schools and community organizations, supervise
instructional staff, support student recruitment and engagement, and ensure the
successful delivery of creative arts programming.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between participating schools,
families, instructors, community partners, and organizational leadership. This role
requires strong project management skills, a passion for youth development, and
experience coordinating creative, educational, or community-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Digital Music & Media Production After-School Program.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, timelines, and operational systems.
- Coordinate program logistics across school sites and community locations.
- Ensure all classes, workshops, and events are properly staffed and equipped.
- Maintain program documentation, attendance records, and compliance requirements.
School & Community Partnerships
- Serve as the primary liaison between school districts, site administrators, community partners, and The Art Beat Collective.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate communications regarding program schedules, student participation, and special events.
- Represent the organization at meetings, presentations, and community outreach activities.
Student Recruitment & Program Growth
- Develop and implement outreach and recruitment strategies to increase enrollment.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns through schools, community organizations, and digital platforms.
- Support student retention through ongoing engagement and communication with families.
- Monitor enrollment goals and participation metrics.
Marketing & Communications
- Lead program marketing efforts, including social media content, website updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate documentation of student projects, performances, showcases, and success stories.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications.
- Assist in promoting special events, performances, workshops, and community showcases.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise instructors, tutors, mentors, and volunteers.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and one-on-one check-ins.
- Provide coaching, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
Studio & Technology Management
- Ensure all music production, media production, and technology equipment is operational and available for instruction.
- Coordinate inventory management, maintenance, and purchasing of equipment and software.
- Support setup and preparation of classrooms, studios, and event spaces.
- Work with instructional staff to identify technology and resource needs.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Track attendance, participation, program outcomes, and performance metrics.
- Review and submit staff timesheets and required administrative reports.
- Assist with grant reporting, data collection, and program evaluation.
- Prepare monthly updates for organizational leadership and funding partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience managing educational, youth development, arts, or community-based programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with schools, nonprofit organizations, or after-school programs preferred.
- Knowledge of music production, digital media, creative technology, or arts education is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
- Meet the minimum education requirements equivalent to those required of instructional aides within local school districts (e.g., high school diploma or equivalent, and/or 48 college units/AA degree).
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Education, Communications, Project Management, Media Production, Music Industry Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience managing or working in educational, youth development, arts, or community programs.
- Experience working with school districts, nonprofit organizations, or after-school programs preferred.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Experience supervising staff, contractors, volunteers, or teaching artists.
- Familiarity with music production, audio recording, digital media, or related creative technologies.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and social media tools.

Physical Requirements:

- Work Environment: Employees in this position will be required to work indoors in a standard office environment; supervise staff and student activities indoors and outdoors in varying degrees of temperatures; travel by motor vehicle; and come indirect contact with students, parents, community organizations, district staff and the public.

Pay: $3,200.00 - $4,500.00 per month
