Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a wide range of laboratory procedures, supporting scientific research projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative scientific initiatives, utilizing advanced laboratory techniques across various disciplines including microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and animal physiology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analysis skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in laboratory operations.

Duties

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for day‑to‑day laboratory support, including preparation of materials, cleaning and sterilization, waste management, and equipment upkeep.
The role requires prior lab experience, strong sterile technique, biosafety awareness, and basic math skills.
Technicians will also assist with weekend sample collection on a rotational basis and contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment.
Media & Plate Preparation: Prepare media, plates, and other materials for experiments.
Lab Supply Management: Restock supplies and maintain support areas.
Sterilization & Waste Handling: Clean glassware, sterilize equipment, collect and autoclave waste.
Equipment Upkeep: Perform cleaning protocols and become familiar with scientific equipment functions.
Biosafety Practices: Apply sterile techniques and maintain excellent biosafety behaviors.
Independent Work: Carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision, using strong math and organizational skills.
Weekend Rotation: Collect samples for scientists during rotational weekend shifts.

MUST HAVE:

Should have prior experience working in a laboratory environment as a Lab Technician, Research Technician, or Laboratory Assistant
Should have minimum High School Diploma or GED or higher
Should be able to maintain and calibrate complex standard lab equipment and instruments
Must have experience with sterile or aseptic techniques and strong biosafety practices means Proper handling of materials and equipment to prevent contamination of experiments and ensure personal and environmental safety
Experience with autoclaves, sterilization procedures, glassware cleaning, and biohazard waste handling is highly preferred Exposure to molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology, or fermentation laboratories is a strong advantage.

Shift Timings: 7AM-5:30PM

Weekly schedule: M-F

CH1

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
