SALARY: *$56,630.00-$74,054.00 annual/ $27.13-$35.47 hourly *new hires to state service start at the minimum of the range

Our Customer Service Department is currently recruiting for a Processing Technician to provide support in our Retailer Services Division. Part of the responsibilities includes providing support to the Claims Department. This includes working directly with customers processing their claims, answering customer inquiries or completing back-office tasks.
Example of Duties
- Performs duties related to CLC’s Retailer Services processing functions
- Examines incoming materials for accuracy, completeness and conformance to state statutes and regulations; makes corrections and/or additions as needed
- Initiates and maintains communications with a wide variety of internal and external resources to verify information and complete transactions including other state employees, offices and outside officials such as attorneys or bank representatives
- Interprets and applies state statutes and regulations relating to processing license applications and other retailer-related services
- Responds to internal and external inquiries for information and assistance
- Sets up and maintains office procedures, filing and indexing systems and forms for office use and to meet recurring needs
- Maintains calendars of due dates and initiates recurring work or special clerical projects accordingly
- Maintains records and logs
- Prepares status or statistical reports related to processing function
- Assists in maintaining general files in support of processing function
- Initiates correspondence in carrying out duties
- Types correspondence, forms, file documentation, etc. in support of processing function
- May lead lower-level clerical employees assisting in carrying out processing responsibilities
- Performs related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered you must have three (3) years of clerical work experience with one (1) if those years including a full range of clerical duties at the level of an Office Assistant. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
College training may be substituted for the general experience based on fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.
