PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Operations, the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator supports the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operational needs of all Clifford Beers Community Care Center locations. This role is responsible for ensuring facilities are safe, functional, clean, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
The Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator performs routine building maintenance, coordinates service requests, assists with vendor and contractor oversight, and supports responsive communication with landlords, property management companies, and tenants regarding facility concerns and repairs. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

Manage routine building maintenance and perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, furniture assembly, cleaning, and general facility upkeep.

Respond promptly to facility-related requests, maintenance issues, and work orders across all CBCCC locations.

Coordinate directly with landlords, property management companies, vendors, contractors, and tenants regarding maintenance concerns, repairs, inspections, and building access.

Maintain safe, functional, and compliant facility environments through ongoing monitoring and corrective action.

Maintain facility work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, maintenance logs, and related documentation.

Monitor and maintain lighting, HVAC systems, utilities, safety equipment, appliances, security systems, and office equipment functionality.

Coordinate contractor and vendor access and oversee completion of facility-related services and repairs.

Maintain compliance readiness for licensing, credentialing, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements related to facility operations.

Coordinate and facilitate office moves, furniture setup, storage organization, and workspace preparation.

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and related facility materials.

Perform and coordinate seasonal exterior maintenance activities including lawn care, landscaping, snow and ice preparation, debris removal, and general grounds upkeep at all CBCCC locations.

Coordinates facility-related environmental, pest control, maintenance, and renovation activities across multiple locations. Performs routine inspections, identifies issues requiring escalation, supports minor corrective actions, and coordinates third-party vendors for specialized services including pest management, mold remediation, and construction projects.

Maintains and implements emergency management protocols including supporting evacuation procedures, business continuity efforts, emergency vendor coordination, and maintaining readiness of facility-related emergency equipment and documentation.

Respond to urgent and emergency facility situations as needed.

TRAVEL:

This role requires regular travel throughout the Greater New Haven area.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical or trade school certification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, property maintenance, or related field preferred.

Experience working in healthcare, clinic, or multi-site facilities environments preferred.
-
Experience supporting Joint Commission or regulatory compliance requirements preferred.
LICENSURE:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
