Full Job Description

The Shipwright's Daughter in Mystic is looking for a Dining Room Managers.

This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily operations and activities of the front-of-house employees, management, and operations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Interacts with the dining room guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite, courteous and hospitable manner to ensure gracious hospitality. Expertise in Mixology/cocktail creation and or private dining operations desired.

Named Best Restaurant in Connecticut by the Connecticut Restaurant Association in 2022, Best Chef Northeast by the James Beard Foundation 2024, and finalist in Outstanding Chef James Beard Foundation 2026.

The Shipwright's Daughter is a dynamic and inovative casual fine dining restaurant in the heart of downtown Mystic. Minimum Education and Qualifications:

A passion for hospitality and the guest experience.
1-3 years of previous hospitality supervisory/management experience.
Strong guest service skills, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skills required.
Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology.
