Syncon is seeking an experienced Concrete Milling & Surface Preparation Operator to operate specialized milling, grinding, and surface preparation equipment on commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the United States.
This is NOT a CNC machining or manufacturing position. This role operates concrete milling and surface preparation equipment on commercial and industrial construction projects.

Position Summary
The Milling Operator is responsible for operating specialized concrete milling and surface preparation equipment on commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the United States. This position requires a strong understanding of concrete surface preparation techniques, equipment operation, project safety requirements, and quality standards.
Operators will receive ongoing training and development on advanced ZeroTilt technology and specialized equipment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate concrete milling, grinding, and surface preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform floor preparation and concrete remediation activities according to project specifications.
- Set up, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot milling equipment.
- Read and follow project plans, specifications, and work instructions.
- Maintain production schedules while meeting quality standards.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Travel to commercial and industrial job sites throughout the United States.
- Work closely with project managers, field engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Complete required project documentation and reports.
Qualifications Required
- Experience operating concrete milling, grinding, scarifying, shot blasting, or related surface preparation equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete flooring systems and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred
- Commercial or industrial flooring experience.
- Construction equipment operation experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with precision milling and specialty concrete remediation projects.
- CDL license (preferred but not required).
