Full Job Description

The Airport Engineer serves as a project engineer on multiple airport projects, leading planning, design, and delivery of airport infrastructure. This role focuses on projects in Nebraska and Iowa and offers strong growth within a collaborative environment

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and technical deliverables for ~15–20 airport projects annually
Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD/MicroStation
Analyze technical data to support planning and design decisions
Coordinate with clients, agencies (FAA/DOT), and internal teams
Observe construction to ensure compliance with plans and specs
Apply engineering judgment to solve design and planning challenges
Utilize GIS (ArcGIS) for planning and documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering; PE license required
1–5 years of airport or civil engineering experience (consulting preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation; familiarity with ArcGIS a plus
Experience with FAA/DOT standards
Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
