Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable HVAC Postsecondary Instructor to join our educational team. In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems at the postsecondary level, empowering students with the skills needed for successful careers in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration), plumbing, electrical work, and related trades. Your expertise will help bridge classroom theory with real-world applications, inspiring the next generation of skilled technicians. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape future professionals while fostering a vibrant learning environment.

Duties

Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum on HVAC systems, including air conditioning, mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and maintenance practices.
Incorporate hands-on training with tools such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and manufacturing technologies to enhance practical understanding.
Utilize Canvas or similar learning management systems to organize course materials, assessments, and student progress tracking.
Ensure compliance with safety standards by teaching OSHA regulations relevant to construction, manufacturing, and other technical fields.
Design assessments that evaluate student mastery of core concepts like HVAC/R systems, plumbing, welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports adult education principles and accommodates diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with industry partners to keep curriculum current with emerging technologies in HVAC/R and maintenance sectors.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students pursuing careers in trades such as HVAC/R or building construction.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years in-field experience in HVAC/R industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge across multiple disciplines including plumbing, welding, and electrical systems.
Hands-on experience working within manufacturing or construction environments is highly desirable.
Familiarity with industry standards such as OSHA safety regulations and environmental codes.
Prior involvement in adult education programs or workforce training initiatives is a plus.
