Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Drywall Installer/Finisher and Painter / flooring installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and painting drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to interpret technical drawings, follow construction plans, and ensure safety regulations are strictly adhered to on-site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse renovation and new-build projects while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Install drywall panels using metal stud framing and other framing techniques, ensuring precise placement in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, texturing, and repairing damaged areas for a flawless appearance
- Apply various painting techniques including airless paint spraying, brush, roller, and specialty finishes to achieve desired aesthetic effects
- Perform plastering and stucco applications on interior and exterior surfaces to enhance durability and visual appeal
- Execute trim carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, molding, and mold remediation to complete the project look
- Conduct drywall repairs and water damage restoration to restore surfaces after incidents or aging components
- Follow construction estimating procedures for material needs and labor hours while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, and painting within a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, blueprints reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools and safety regulations specific to the industry
- Skilled in drywall texturing, plastering, stucco application, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, and restoration work is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics or plumbing diagrams for accurate execution of tasks
- Experience with framing carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with attention to detail; physical stamina for working on ladders or scaffolding for extended periods
