Position Overview
Barin Group is hiring an Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, subcontractor/vendor coordination, and client communication, and will also oversee estimating activities to support a healthy pipeline and accurate, competitive bids.

Southeast Idaho (with projects across the Intermountain West/Northwest).

Key Responsibilities: Project Management
- Manage electrical projects from award through closeout, including kickoff, procurement, execution, commissioning support, and turnover.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, job cost reports, and change order logs.
- Create project schedules and work plans; coordinate manpower planning with field leadership.
- Lead project meetings (internal and external) and provide clear communication on status, risks, and next steps.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers: buyout, subcontracts, purchase orders, lead times, and delivery coordination.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, change management, and closeout documentation.
- Ensure work is performed to contract documents, code requirements, and Barin Group quality standards.
- Partner with field leadership to support jobsite safety, production, and issue resolution.
- Estimating Oversight
- Oversee estimating workflow for electrical bids: bid calendar, prioritization, and bid strategy.
- Review takeoffs, vendor/sub pricing, clarifications, exclusions, and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Support bid handoff from estimating to operations to ensure scope alignment and clean project startup.
- Build and maintain vendor/sub relationships to strengthen pricing and responsiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates, historical cost tracking, and lessons learned.
- Business and Team Collaboration
- Support client relationship management and help identify additional work/change opportunities.
- Mentor/coordinate with estimators, project engineers, coordinators, and foremen as applicable.
- Promote strong documentation habits and consistent use of company systems/processes.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience (project management, estimating, or superintendent/foreman transitioning to PM).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, specifications, and typical contract structures.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Excel and common construction software tools (project scheduling, estimating, and/or accounting platforms).
Preferred
- Journeyman/Master Electrician license, or equivalent field background.
- Experience estimating commercial/industrial electrical work (service, TI, ground-up, design-build, etc.).
- Familiarity with NEC, local AHJ requirements, and permitting/inspection processes.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid/Trimble, ConEst, BuildingConnected, or similar tools.
