Full Job Description

Discover Recovery strives to be an innovative provider of treatment and education for the chemically dependent and their families, by offering person-centered care in a safe, serene, and secure refuge for the client to heal from their addictions.

Our PHP/IOP program in SE Portland is looking for a licensed Mental Health Therapist for individual and group therapy. This position is full-time and exempt, with hours 8AM - 4PM Monday through Friday.

Basic Functions and Responsibilities:

Performs initial interviews & assessments.
Provides ongoing evaluation of individuals through the collection and synthesis of bio-psychosocial information from participants, families, referral sources, peers, and others as appropriate.
Facilitate group therapy sessions.
Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
Maintain documentation and clinical/group notes following professional protocol and standard of care.
Familiarization with client charts on an ongoing basis, awareness of all pertinent client information.
Demonstrates competencies that reflect current standards of chemical dependency knowledge, skills, and attitudes of professional practice.
Consult as needed with Executive Director, Medical Director, Director of Admission, and client therapists
Possesses a working knowledge of drug treatment facilities and treatment modalities
Able to work with diverse populations.
Supervise associate clinical staff.
Additional duties as assigned.

Primary Therapist Qualifications/ Required Experience:

Master’s Degree in Social Services/Sciences or related field, plus two years experience in clinical practice required.
Experience with addiction clients
Maintain appropriate Oregon State licensure.
Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.
Drug-free; no misuse of alcohol or drugs while employed as a therapist.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
