POSITION SUMMARY
The Creative Director leads aside the VP of SMD the development, execution, and evolution of SEG’s brand vision across all platforms. This role ensures all marketing, social media, and wedding and corporate‑related content is innovative, trend‑forward, and aligned with SEG’s commitment to exceptional guest experience. They drive qualified inquiries, engagement, and measurable business growth by understanding the full client journey from discovery to booking, and creating content and campaigns that convert.
This position requires a passion for social media, weddings, corporate events, hospitality, AI‑driven marketing, and creative innovation, with a strong pulse on industry trends and competitor positioning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute multi‑channel marketing campaigns focused on inquiry generation and conversion with the team.
- Maintain deep knowledge of wedding and hospitality trends, client expectations, and competitor strategies.
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative outputs, platforms, and communications.
- Integrate AI tools into content creation, copywriting, and campaign optimization.
Content Creation & Creative Direction
- Lead the creation and submission of polished, on‑brand Event Portfolios for publication and lead generation.
- Works with content creator team to assure fair and equitable distribution of all channels and a focus on those venues which may need more attention. Closely aligned to react to the Sales data and tracking.
- Oversee photo shoot planning and execution, including concept development aligned with current trends.
- Curate, organize, and manage all creative assets for multi‑channel use.
- Capture real‑time event content across all venues for social media and marketing use.
Social Media Leadership
- Own and lead SEG’s social media strategy across all platforms.
- Work closely with content creators on content plan. Working with Sales and Production teams to capture the content we see everyday and design content needed to continue growing.
- Identify and execute emerging trends (Reels, Stories, TikTok, etc.).
- Use analytics to refine content, improve engagement, and increase inquiries.
- Maintain a strategic content calendar aligned with trends, campaigns, and sales goals.
Digital Marketing & Performance
- Collaborate with SEO consultants and designers to ensure website content is optimized and visually compelling.
- Monitor ad performance, analyze metrics, and optimize campaigns to improve ROI and inquiry volume.
- Assist with annual and monthly advertising budgets across digital, print, and social channels.
- Keep the SEG website and referral sites updated with current galleries and language.
Partnerships, PR & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with vendors to secure high‑quality, on‑brand content.
- Coordinate with PR agencies, designers, printers, and other partners to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Identify community involvement opportunities that enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
- Seek and establish new partnerships with advertising agencies to expand SEG’s reach.
Sales & Communication Support
- Work with the Sales Department to develop new funnels, ad campaigns, and promotions.
- Create and manage quarterly newsletters, e‑blasts, and other client communications.
- Produce 2–3 blogs per month to support SEO and brand storytelling.
- Oversight of all data collection boards on the team to assure they are timely and have accuracy for interpretation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct supervision of the Marketing Associate and Content Creator.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and creative direction to ensure high‑quality output and professional growth.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 3–5+ years in marketing, creative, or brand leadership (hospitality/weddings preferred).
- Expertise in social media strategy, trends, and platform algorithms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMS platforms, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong copywriting and creative writing skills.
- Experience with AI tools in marketing workflows.
- Basic understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing is a plus.
- Energetic, confident, detail‑oriented, and deadline‑driven.
LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Above‑average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to craft persuasive, innovative content that drives inquiries.
- Strong networking skills and ability to collaborate with vendors, clients, and partners.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Primarily seated work; must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 60 WPM.
- Travel to all SEG venues required for content capture.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
