This position plays a critical role in supporting reliable event execution through technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and operational accountability.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Live Event Production Equipment Repair Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining LED display systems and live event production equipment. This role supports warehouse operations and live event readiness by ensuring equipment is functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably for deployment.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment where quality, urgency, and accountability are essential.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to:
LED Systems & Equipment Repair
- Diagnose and repair LED wall panels, processors, power supplies, receiving cards, sender cards, and related equipment
- Perform soldering, cable repair, component replacement, and bench-level electronic troubleshooting
- Configure and test LED processing systems including Novastar, Brompton, Colorlight, or similar platforms
- Troubleshoot video signal flow, networking, and power distribution issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, testing, and quality assurance on event production equipment
Warehouse & Operational Support
- Assist with equipment preparation, QC, inventory organization, and deployment readiness
- Maintain repair logs, service documentation, inventory records, and parts tracking
- Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend operational or hardware improvements
- Ensure all repaired equipment meets CPG operational and safety standards
- Support overall warehouse efficiency and equipment lifecycle management
Event & Technical Support
- Provide remote or onsite technical support during event setup, operation, and strike as needed
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Project Managers, and warehouse teams to prioritize repairs and show-critical needs
- Assist in troubleshooting live event production systems under time-sensitive conditions
- Support continuous improvement of repair processes, workflows, and technical standards
NECESSARY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience repairing or maintaining live event production equipment, LED systems, or AV technology
- Strong understanding of LED display technology and video processing systems
- Experience troubleshooting low-voltage electronics and production equipment
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with HDMI, SDI, DVI, Ethernet, fiber, and DMX signal standards
- Proficiency with soldering tools, multimeters, and electronic diagnostic equipment
- Understanding of AC/DC power systems and safe electrical practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in touring, broadcast, or live event production environments
- Familiarity with LED brands such as ROE, Absen, INFiLED, Unilumin, or Leyard
- Experience with Novastar, Brompton, or Colorlight software platforms
- CTS, ETCP, or related technical certifications
- Basic networking and IP configuration knowledge
- Forklift certification or warehouse experience
- Experience with media servers, switchers, or broadcast video systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily warehouse-based with occasional on-site production support
- Fast-paced production environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Frequent equipment handling, setup, teardown, and transportation
- Collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere supporting live event operations
