Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic and Professional Programs of the TExpL® Institute, the Graduate Teaching Administrator of the TExpL® Institute is responsible for instructing, leading, managing and developing Total Experience Learning® curriculum, special projects, collaborative educational initiatives, professional development, and program alignment for Pre-Kindergarten to Graduate College Level students. In this position, the Graduate Teaching Administrator duties may include teaching college courses, with a maximum of 7 courses per year, not exceeding 3 courses per semester. Summer and Interim courses may be assigned within the maximum of 7 courses per year as well. Teaching roles will also include leading TExpL® professional development programs. Graduate teaching administrators are considered staff and are not considered faculty under the Faculty Handbook except for purposes of the responsibilities for teaching as adjunct faculty during such contracted periods, which do not include additional remuneration. The role also requires administrative work focused on coordinating one of the work units within TExpL Academic and Professional Programs, graduate programs, group professional development, immersive professional development, or other administrative areas that may be identified. The Graduate Teaching Administrator will work in close concert with other TExpL® GTA colleagues, in Project Teams with other TExpL® colleagues, and with the Executive Director, Academic and Professional Programs of the TExpL® Institute to evolve TExpL® programs to a global scale.

Curricular and Administrative Responsibilities

Develop instructional materials, including course shells in Alvernia's Learning Management System, which meet the needs of diverse learners.

Ensure that courses taught meet accreditation standards, as outlined in the course syllabi and Alvernia’s policies.

Facilitate and create curriculum that meets standards for Total Experience Learning®, Alvernia’s academic policies and accreditation requirements.
-
Collaborate with clients, academic liaisons, and industry representatives to ensure relevance in programming.
-
Align planning with the TExpL® framework and the strategic priorities of the TExpL® Institute.
-
Collaborate closely with existing partners and encourage new partnerships and programming as it aligns to the mission and goals of Alvernia University.
Instructor Responsibilities:
Facilitate and teach courses in Total Experience Learning® including:

Additional Responsibilities:
TExpL Program Development

Coordinate a layered approach to communication and representation of TExpL® and Alvernia University’s breadth of educational programming to the external community and other stakeholders.

Actively collaborate on the packaging of TExpL® and Alvernia University programs, stories, and experiences through communication pieces, social media approaches, outreach options, and engagement opportunities at various entry points.

Articulate institutional priorities, as well as PreK-adult professional development program priorities, and represent such diverse constituencies. Serve as a voice for Alvernia University, representing its aspirations and achievements to all internal and external constituencies.

Collaborate and communicate the operations, opportunities, and integrations of TExpL® at Alvernia University with institutional departments. These departments include, but are not limited to advancement, communications, enrollment management, athletics, facilities, food service, and instructional technology.

Actively promote Total Experience Learning® and Alvernia University programs in the GTA’s community and professional network.

Education:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Science Research Institute, Total Experience Learning environments, or other innovative, project-based, or experiential production settings or demonstrated willingness to learn.

Minimum master’s degree in education, Science, Business or Related Field Experience.
