Century Concrete LLC seeks an experienced certified tower crane operator for work in the Richmond Virginia region. **In crane rate may be higher.**
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates crane, Hydro-crane, and Crawler with excellent skill in safety, accuracy, speed, efficiency and planning.
- Troubleshoots mechanical issues and assists with onsite equipment repair.
- Ensures that equipment is in safe working order and functions properly; completes operator daily checklist and reports problems to Superintendent/maintenance department.
- Coordinates equipment actions with crew using hand/audio signals; understands and applies signals
- Understands and ensures proper rigging of loads
- Trains and mentors Crane Operators
- Maintains a safe work environment, employs safe working practices, participates in safety and job-related training and certification, and continuously improves knowledge of operational safety
- Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold an active NCCCO certification in the following cranes: Hydro, Crawler, Tower. Must have and maintain active DOT physical. Must be a certified rigger and signalman. Must have PPE required to perform work.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
This position requires daily outdoor work in various weather conditions, and exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, and loud noises.
Must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, walk, stand, climb, crawl, work at heights, exert heavy physical effort, and may handle objects up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
