About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented tile installer to join our team on a 1099 contractor basis. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Installers must be able to deliver high-quality results on a variety of residential and commercial projects.
Compensation & Structure
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role
- Compensation is based on jobs completed
- 50% deposit paid up front, 50% paid upon completion of the job

Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and install tile (ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaics)
- Prepare and level surfaces, including backer board installation and waterproofing as needed
- Lay out tile patterns with precision and attention to design specifications
- Apply mortar, grout, and ensure a clean, polished finish
- Track progress from initial setup through job completion
- Collaborate with project managers for scheduling and site readiness
- Maintain a safe and professional job site
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years proven experience as a tile installer
- Licensing: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Utah specialty contractor license (e.g., S220 Carpentry & Flooring Contractor or S293 Marble, Tile & Ceramic)
- Tools & Supplies: Must provide your own tools and supplies (wet saw, trowels, spacers, etc.)
- Materials Provided: We provide tile, grout, and trim pieces
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to complete jobs independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Tile Installer (CTI)
- Experience with both residential and commercial tile projects
- Ability to read blueprints and design plans accurately
- Knowledge of current best practices and building codes
