MENTAL HEALTH TECH – 16-WEEK CONTRACT

Location: Savannah, GA
Job Type: 16-Week Contracts
Pay: $18/hour depending on experience
Shifts Available: 7a-7p & 7p-7a

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Health Aide seeking flexibility and meaningful work in behavioral health? ATC Healthcare is actively seeking skilled Mental Health Techs for 16-week contract assignments at a psychiatric healthcare facility in Savannah, Georgia.

This is a fantastic chance to gain experience in psychiatric care, work flexible contracts, and be part of a trusted team dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations through exceptional care.

Job Description

Responds to patients call for assistance
Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs.
Bathes, grooms, shaves, and dresses clients.
Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
Ensures safety and security of clients.
Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activity.
Prepares clients for treatment or examination.
Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines.
Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients.
Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units.
Consistently utilize the principles of the recovery model when engaging Patients.
Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and Department policies, including diet and physical activity.
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with Supplier leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Responds to hospital codes as appropriate.
Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors.

Position Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Professional References
Two (2) years of experience providing basic patient care in a psychiatric setting
