Full Job Description

TITLE: Tool and Die Maker
COMPANY: Global Manufacturing Company
LOCATION: Outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA
JOB TYPE: Full-time, direct hire with full benefits
COMPENSATION: $80,000-$90,000 plus annual bonus

ATTRACTIVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:

A.S. of Tool/Die/Machinist degree from technical / vocational school + 2 years of experience. OR
Formalized Apprenticeship certificate training + 4 years of experience. OR
High school Diploma / GED + 5-6 years of experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of using CAD/CAM software, blue print reading, and mathematics (geometry/trigonometry)
Minimum of 3-5 years of handling complex, high-precision metalworking machinery
MIG, TIG, and Stick welding skills (preferred)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office products

SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES: This Tool and Die Maker is expected (but not limited) to…

· Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models to gain a comprehensive understanding of the required parts

· Use machine tools to manufacture tools, dies, and machine parts

· Measure finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges

· Assemble, disassemble, and test products to ensure functionality and quality

· Repair damaged or worn-out tools and dies

· Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards

· Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify tools and dies

· Coordinate with engineers and other production staff to understand specific requirements and to troubleshoot problems

· Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with safety regulations

· Perform regular maintenance on machine tools to ensure optimal performance

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
