Full Job Description

Performs intermediate level of activities related to compiling, analyzing and preparing of credit analysis, complex financial statement reviews, planning models and risk evaluation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Perform intermediate level of activities related to compiling, analyzing and preparing of credit analysis, complex financial statement reviews, planning models and risk evaluation.
Analyze and/or prepare various treasury and financing functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis, forecasts/budgets, credit review and analysis and compliance.
Perform calculations, review, analyze, compile and/or verify financial information including but not limited to (as specified by position):
- Actual to forecast and historical period variance analysis
- Financial reports
- Financial ratios and metrics
- Bank and trade references
- Credit reports
- Reconciliation reports
- Board of Directors presentations
- Investor presentations
- Rating agency presentations
- Project forecasts
- Depreciation (book/tax)
- Share based calculations
- Financing such as Interest, coverage, and lease calculations
- Cash flows
- Rate/tariff schedules
- Dividends
Perform duties related to the preparation of information and reports which may include but not limited to (as specified by position):
- Customer credit review and analysis
- Collateral analysis
- Oversee customer credit files
- Assess creditworthiness of potential customers
- Evaluate financial risk, establish credit terms and limits
- Financial and credit score modeling
- Contract reviews
Prepare and/or analyze financial models that simulate activities for the purpose of forecasting (as specified by position).
Perform calculations, review, analyze, interpret and/or monitor information and reports including but not limited to (as specified by position):
- Utility tariffs
- Government reports
- SEC/IRS/FASB guidance
- Training analysis
- Credit analysis of third-party financials
Provide information and assistance to employees from auditing firms, management, and others concerning planning, accounting processes, various financial reports and forecasts.
Make recommendations to improve departmental job, processes and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field required.

In addition to education, this role typically calls for two to four years of relevant professional experience; (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).

Experience

Working knowledge and understanding of areas related to finance and treasury.
Experience interpreting and applying generally accepted accounting methods and procedures.
Experience developing and maintaining data related to financial forecasts, models, and statistics.
Experience with application of math algebra, and statistical methods.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Working knowledge and/or training related to:
- Spreadsheet and word processing software applications
- Energy industry economics
- Financial risk management
- Commodity marketing
- Treasury management
- Communication/interpersonal skills
- Economic forecasting/modeling and planning and forecasting functions (specified by position)
- Credit reports, bank and trade references (specified by position)
Experience researching, compiling, and preparing reports, studies, forecasts, financial models, and correspondence applicable to position.
Experience reading and analyzing financial data, accounting and tax-related publications, company and investor correspondence.
Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
Experience developing and presenting information to individuals and groups.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Licenses and Certifications

Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Credit Business Associate (CBA), Credit Business Fellow (CBF), Certified Credit Executive (CCE), or other relevant certifications.

Additional Requirements

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
Communicate and/or exchange information or verbal instructions and conduct oral presentations.
