ENTRY LEVEL SERVICE TECHNICIAN & YARD ATTENDANT
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the America’s team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Entry Level Service Technician & Yard Attendant. With deep investment and backing from SANY Group, the Americas business continues to grow rapidly, and this role is critical to support and learn heavy equipment maintenance.
This role is the entry point into a skilled technician career supporting the inspection, maintenance, and preparation of heavy construction equipment. You’ll work side-by-side with experienced technicians, gain hands-on training, and build the technical foundation needed for long-term growth in the construction equipment industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist senior technicians in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on construction equipment.

Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, greasing, and cleaning machinery.

Support in conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment.

Learn to use diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and computer-based service software.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard environment.

Accurately complete service reports and time records.

Participate in on-the-job and manufacturer training programs to develop technical knowledge and certifications.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Maintain assigned service vehicle and tool inventory.

Accurately complete service documentation, time records, and job paperwork.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic mechanical aptitude with interest in construction or heavy equipment.

Ability to safely operate hand tools and basic power tools.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in various weather conditions.

Familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulics, or electrical systems.

Basic computer skills for service documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical or vocational school education

Previous experience with vehicles, farm equipment, small engines, or mechanical work (including hobby experience)

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

PDI / WAREHOUSE – WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is performed in a warehouse and/or equipment inspection environment. Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and working around heavy equipment and machinery. Employees may be required to lift, push, or pull materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures may occur.
