Full Job Description

Established law firm in Macon, Georgia is seeking a Legal Assistant. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing excellent assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and clients in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Communicate with clients, attorneys, paralegals and others via telephone, email and written correspondence.
Prepare correspondence and other legal documents.
Transcription.
Record retrieval from various sources.
Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic files.
Data entry in case management system.
Maintain calendar and schedule for attorney(s) and paralegal(s).
Prioritize and organize daily workload to meet client and firm deadlines.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Previous experience working as a legal assistant or secretarial experience preferred but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Adobe with excellent proofreading and typing skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
Ability to stay professional, productive, and adjust to changing demands under pressure.
Must be able to interact and communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and individuals at all levels of the firm.
Effective listening, oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation, both internal and external.
Personal commitment to learning and professional development.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
