Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Front of House (FOH) Host to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless flow of service throughout the dining experience. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience, fostering a warm environment where everyone feels valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our hospitality team, delivering memorable moments from the moment guests arrive.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
Answer phone inquiries with courtesy, providing accurate information about the restaurant and wait times
Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment
Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth guest flow and timely service

Qualifications

Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating positive guest interactions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS, Toast POS, or Micros POS is a plus
Knowledge of food service operations and guest relations enhances your ability to excel in this role
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
