Full Job Description

Data Entry Clerk

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday

Starting Wage Range: $18 - $19 per hour with three scheduled wage increases the first year

Summary:

Responsible for entering and updating customer orders, maintaining accurate forecasts, and managing changes related to pricing, product nomenclature, quantities, due dates, and shipping details. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Enter customer orders into MRP system
Update forecast into MRP system for all customers
Update customer orders in MRP system when changes in price, nomenclature, quantities, due dates and ship to addresses occur
Set up new customer order files
Process paperwork for shipment, credit memos and invoicing
Process transfers and receipts
Assist in maintaining department files

Education and/or Experience:

2+ years of data entry experience
High School Diploma or equivalent

Skill in customer service with the ability to identify customer concerns, and refer to the appropriate staff, as necessary, to ensure a satisfactory resolution
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines
Ability to multi-task

Understanding of MRP system
Ability to exercise independent judgement
Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management.
