We're Hiring: Operations Support Specialist
The Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Board is hiring for an Operations Support Specialist position. This is a full-time, regular position with an annual salary of $48,000–$52,000, depending on experience.
The Operations Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support across Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas. Responsibilities include supporting program administration and organizational compliance, conducting provider monitoring visits, coordinating facility operations and office logistics, maintaining operational policies and procedures, and assisting with fraud prevention, risk monitoring, and continuous process improvement.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in operations, program administration, compliance, contract administration, office administration, workforce development, or a related field. Postsecondary education, technical training, certifications, or additional relevant experience is preferred, and equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

OCCUPATIONAL CATEGORY: Administrative, Non-Exempt
JOB TITLE: Operations Support Specialist
OBJECTIVE: The Operations Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support across Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas. Under general supervision, the specialist supports Board operations, contracted program administration, facilities coordination, and other operational functions that contribute to the efficient operation of the organization.
REPORTS TO: Director of Program Integrity
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
This is a responsible position requiring sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple operational responsibilities while working independently and collaboratively with staff, providers, and external partners. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Review program documents, contracts, policies, procedures, and operational guidance to identify needed updates, improve consistency, and support compliance with organizational and Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) requirements.
Conduct provider monitoring visits, operational reviews, and other assigned monitoring activities; document observations, communicate findings, monitor corrective actions, and generate reports to support leadership decision-making.
Assist with fraud prevention, risk monitoring, and investigative activities by reviewing information, organizing documentation, maintaining required training, and identifying operational risks or emerging issues requiring follow-up.
Maintain, organize, and support the implementation of operational policies, procedures, communications, and reference materials, ensuring staff have access to current and approved guidance that promotes consistent program administration and organizational operations.
Coordinate facility operations by serving as the primary liaison with staff, subrecipients, vendors, and building management for maintenance requests, office operations, workspace changes, and other facility-related needs.
Maintain the confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive participant, provider, financial, personnel, and organizational information.
Maintain a working knowledge of Workforce Solutions programs, organizational operations, technology systems, and applicable regulations, applying that knowledge to support effective operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in operations, program administration, compliance, contract administration, office administration, workforce development, or a related field. Postsecondary education, technical training, certifications, or additional relevant experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and experience will be considered.
POSITION DETAILS:
Valid Texas motor vehicle operator license or available alternate means of transportation.
Occasional travel is required within the region; limited overnight travel may be required to attend regional, state, or national conferences, training, and meetings.
Employment is contingent on funding and/or evaluation of duties.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
